Individual Form 1040 and all applicable schedules
One of the official documents that U.S. taxpayers can use to file their annual income tax return is the IRS 1040 form. This form is divided into sections where you report your income and deductions to determine the amount of tax you owe or the amount of tax to be refunded to you. The Form 1040 is the most complex of the three individual tax forms. However, it offers many tax breaks you cannot receive if you file the simple Form 1040EZ or Form 1040A.
